The 25th and 26th March JM Equestrian Junior and Senior shows held at Birstwith EC found the Champions and Reserves for the Stars of The North 2006.
In the Peter Flannigan sponosored Small Pony Open it was Douglas Moiser and his mother Sue's Go Mandingo who took the Champion position from Spencer Roe and Creative Dancer. Douglas has been one of the most competitive jockeys in this section keeping an eye on the leader board at every show and even when his parents couldn't take him to the final show they persueded Jim Goodfellow to take them!
Douglas's elder sister Francis riding June Littles Ballymoney won the Barker Construction Intermediate section - 40points ahead of the rest. Sarah Goodfellow won the British Novice that day to clinch the Reserve Champion spot with Spirit of Gallway.
Ria Ginley finished with an incredible achievement to take Champion and Reserve, ending on joint points, with her mother Angies Brolotens Arpege and Spancil Hill Express in the Potto Ec sponsored Open.
In the senior competition it was the partnership of Darren Smith and Les Moorhouses consistant Kingsmead who took the C & C Horse Transport sponsored Novice Championship from James Adams and Stainsby Genisis.
Julia Picken and her husband Richards Lamarni became the Lakeside Stables Intermediate Champion to the delight of the Picken camp from Emma Wright and Irish Rytham who finished in reserve place.
Joanne Roseberry and the Chilton Country Pub and Hotel sponosored Open champion was deservedly won by Joannes own horse Penshaws Parsons Advocate ridden by Angela Mills.
The final section - the Full Circle 1.10 open trophy kindly sponsored by Norma and Angela Mills was won by Alison Lines and Arona who joint owns the horse with Rae Louise Farmer.
